91 Isuzu Trooper Manual ?

My 91 Trooper is having difficulties shifting. It's hard to engage and disengage. This has been getting worse and sometimes it's ok. Reverse is the hardest to shift into. I believe it has a mechanical clutch (cable). I'm thinking it might be: Low gear oil or clutch needs adjusting?
