If he promised your boyfriend he wouldn't tell you, why did he call you as soon as he left? Especially as he is your boyfriend's best friend and not yours? Keep faith in your boyfriend, if he is worthy enough to be with you I'm sure he'll tell you in his own time and just because he was talking about you doesn't necessarily mean it was something bad.
