P E R I O D S ( for women ) !?

Women, how often do you get your period? Just wondering because I heard that some women [mainly athletics] get their period only a few months per year. I get mines every month. I never get my period on the same date it's always either sooner or later than the previous month but once a month I get it. . Does that mean that I have an irregular period? Is there something wrong?
