Question about impacts and gas giants?

99% of the objects that head towards earth break up in the atmosphere. Of the few that actualy impact the surface, the danger isnt that great... the effect would be greatly exaggerated for Jupiter, its atmosphere is quite literally endless, and the worst possible impact would simply be like a meteor splashing down into the ocean, You have to remember how much bigger Jupiter is then the earth.
